Yes! Aside from the hardly noticeable frame around the seats, the Kayaks are 100% clear!

It'll be possible someone will have booked the time slot directly after yours, so there might not be a kayak available to rent if they are all booked up.
If there is availability, however, you're more than welcome to extend your trip! Just re-book on the website the next slot or talk to your rental agent.
Unfortunately, the conditions of Maui make certain spots dangerous at certain times.
We factor in the weather and water conditions when we deliver the kayaks.
Also, to make sure the kayaks keep their clarity, it's important that they are properly taken care of. Because of this, we usually like to handle the kayaks ourselves.
That should make it easier on you, too ;).

The majority of the time slots at the time of writing this span for 1 hour.
While that is usually plenty for the day, you are more than welcome to extend your time, pending availability.

It's hard to beat Maui's weather most of the time. However, sometimes Mother Nature likes to throw us a curve ball, which could potentially make it rough and unsafe to take kayaks out on the ocean.
Because of this, we reserve the right to withhold and cancel reservations if the weather isn't right for your safety at our kayaking location. We'll do our best to let you know ahead of time, but Mother Nature doesn't always give us advanced warning. Your safety comes first.
We take care of everything you'll need for the kayak rental and your time on the water, like:
- Life Jackets
- the Kayak (of course)
Additional premium options could include:
- Action Camera (if you rent it, you get to keep the memory card with the videos on it)
- Polarized Sunglasses
- Thermoflask filled with water
- Dry Bag
If the premium options are available, they will be shown during checkout on the website.
It would be a good idea for you to bring water and snacks. It's also a good idea to think about your exposure to the sun, so it would be good to have a pair of sunglasses, a hat, rash guard and/or sunscreen.
We like to go out at Olowalu and Maui's best pie shop, Leoda's, is right around the corner for a post kayak meal.
Unfortunately, we don't rent out surfboards.
If you're looking to buy a custom surfboard though, our good friend and up-and-coming surfboard shaper Stephen Trimeloni at kekoboards.com will build you a custom surfboard. His designs have been hitting the water and are in pretty high demand, so if you don't order ahead of time, you may not get a chance to use the board down here while you're visiting.
That being said, if you're looking for a custom board from the next Ole Olson, our money's on Stephen Trimeloni and his kekoboards.

All reservations are paid for in full at the time of booking. Cancellations within the last 24 hours prior to activity date will not be issued any refund and will be charged 100% for the activity. No Refunds will be issued to “No Shows”. Cancellations due to medical reasons can result in a refund if a doctor’s note is provided.
Groups of 10 or more must cancel at least 1 week (7 days) prior to their scheduled activity date. If a Cancellation for a group booking is made after the 7 day mark, there will be no refund issued.
Activities may be canceled by See the Sea Maui for reasons including but not limited to inclement weather, road hazards, lack of participation, resource allocation, etc. In the event of a canceled activity, the following options will be available to the clients: A trip that is cancelled prior to any services provided will result in first the option to reschedule. If the client is unable to reschedule a full refund may be issued on a case by case basis.
Activities may be modified, shortened, or changed but are not limited to the reasons stated above. If the company does modify the activity, the price of the downgraded activity will still be applied and the difference refunded.
Customers may decline to participate in their scheduled activity at any point and are encouraged to do so if they are not comfortable participating in the activity. Those who decline to participate due to the nature of the activity may request a refund if that request is made prior to services being offered. This formal request must be made by filling out the refund request form available at the check-in location. Refunds of any sort will be determined on a case by case basis by management.
